The genuineness of our faith is tested so that honor will be the result later. It is for this reason that we are distressed with trials in order for us to be purified through every trial with the realiziation that the final product of our lives will not be deficient; but, instead, it will be fully complete, if we will only trust God in the obedience of His purpose to the very end of life here below as we are aware of now. All God’s glory above us far exceeds our expectations, for we see everything in this life’s terms and cannot fully comprehend His blessings until the time He perfects us to his liking. Therefore, as we are called by the grace of God, in His favor we are blessed to rejoice in His glory! In time to come, if we remain steadfast and firm in the faith, we will understand to the fullest capacity that it was worth all this life’s temporary discomforts. It is absolutely necessary that our lives be beyond reproach, and it is certainly possible that our conduct be pleasing in His sight. If we will reduce our minds of all pompous arrogance, and instead apply our lives to humble submission in the ways of Christ Jesus, we will be radiant with His love in the joy of His Word! As with His Word to grow, we have tasted what is better and will mature in what is best! So why be stunted on worry, when under God’s Almighty hand the holding up of your life brings victory of position in His promise? It is by His mercy in the first place that the assurance of our hope is secured. So, with every moment of suffering, be greatly encouraged in the Spirit of God to look with expectation at the future glory in His presence. May we turn to Him in hope with His grace applied, and stay focused upon Him in the security of mind with His mercy enacted. Also, let us be firm in the faith, and strengthened by His power, all the while resting upon His promises. The willingness of walking the path in the example of the ways of Jesus brings not only blessing, but also the health rightly needed to be what we ought to be in Him. LaNora G.
