There never was any lies told in regard to what the genuine disciples
of Jesus saw regarding His Transfiguration. They had only seen just a
glimpse of what God intended for them to witness at that time. It was
not until after His Resurrection that they were to say anything in record
of the event that would make more sense to what had taken place. This
was to affirm their faith and establish the revelation to a greater under-
standing of His grace pertaining not only of long ago (in whom were
expectant of the Messiah), but also the greater day ahead that would
establish a kingdom beyond this world’s reach in earthly standards.
Jesus, the Son of God and the Son of man in the fullness of God in
Deity and Truth of His Word, is to be heeded in the authority of His
power and goodness to save, heal , and deliver from a sin sick heart
in need of salvation to spare one from the pit of hell. God’s Word is
no fairy tale or collection of myths! It is the Spirit-inspired Word of
God spoken through those He used to convey His Word through
time and ages. Those who were “eyewitnesses of His majesty” gave
accurate report of all they saw and was instructed to carry His
glorious message to a lost world and a rebellious people in need of
repentance. God has provided all that is needed in order to have
everlasting life! One must take a hold of this truth by faith! One’s
eyes must be turned to wisdom of God’s ways in Jesus rather than
self reliance or seeing others in a competitive form (who will also
stand before God someday to give account of everything done whether
good or bad). It is in these statements we must take notice: we are not
to be ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; we must always
trust the Holy Spirit’s work rather than self endeavor; we should never
over emphasize each other, for it is the Savior (Jesus) who has fulfilled
for us what could not have been done by any other to the salvation of
our souls. LaNora G. Means Please watch, In Jesus Is the Power of God.
